Introducing The Theory Project
This unique website presents, for the first time, audio-based versions of 26 scholarly interviews published by Gary A. Olson and Lynn Worsham while serving as editors of JAC (formerly The Journal of Advanced Composition). Comprised by some of the most influential philosophers and cultural theorists of the twentieth century, this project promises to supplement any individual’s study of the intersections between rhetoric, writing, and cultural studies. In addition to the audio interviews, we have re-presented the original introductions from the published print-based versions of them. Appearing on each author page, these introductions are not only meant to provide a brief context for the conversation, but serve as a critical introduction to each theorist for those individuals who need one. We hope that you find this site easy to use and helpful in your studies. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via .
If you want to learn more about the trajectory of this project, the About This Project section offers a brief history of the scholarly interviews project. The Author Index page houses sub-links to each author page where the aforementioned introductions and audio interviews are available. Please note that the audio interviews can be downloaded from each author page. We ask that you use them ethically as they are the published property of JAC. The Links page provides access to various other sources that either connect to this project or extend it further. Finally, the Credits section cites the names of those individuals who made this project possible.
