Write (informally and privately) your observations regarding the strengths and successes of the course so far and your requests and suggestions for the rest of the course and/or for future versions of the course. (Note: To protect your anonymity during the mid-term chat, do NOT submit this writing. Write to learn.)

Write Journal Entry #7, your self-evaluation of your work in the course so far.  (Please don't confuse your self-evaluation with your informal and private writing done in preparation for the mid-term chat; see above.)  Bring your self-evaluation journal entry to your mid-term evaluation conference with Prof. Broad.   In entry #7, write about:

  • class participation (preparation, attendance, listening, and speaking),
  • your response journal, and
  • work done toward your major research project, including conference with the professor, in-class project preview, and additional reading and writing done since the preview.
