Since its inception as a certificate program in 1990, the oversight of the Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies Program has been provided by the College of Arts and Sciences in collaboration with the History Department. Such oversight remained the same even after the program officially became a minor in 1997. However, with the retirement of the founders of the program who were History professors, the Department of Politics and Government has assumed oversight responsibilities in conjunction with Michaelene Cox becoming Co-Director of the program in the fall 2006. |
