Position Title: Digital Cartographer
Salary: Base of $32,350, plus performance bonus
Responsibilities: Digital map data base construction, quality control, data base maintenance, product generation, output processing, and production workflow development (assist only).
Requirements: B.S./B.A. in Geography, Cartography, or related field. Experience with geographic or cartographic software (preferably Adobe or Esri products). An understanding of cartographic methods and design very useful. Candidate must present a portfolio of computer-generated map products at the initial interview along with a clean sample of recent written work. Good oral communication skills necessary in dealing with colleagues and clients. GIS or computer mapping internship could be vital in choosing among candidates.
