Position Title: Cartographic Specialist I
Salary: Will fit salary to candidate but not less than $33,500 annually
Responsibilities: Updating and creating physical/political maps using computer mapping programs. Additional duties will include producing graphic material for company promotions and staffing company booth (once per year) at a major trade show in Las Vegas, Orlando, or other convention-friendly city.
Requirements: B.S./B.A. in Cartography (or related field) or equivalent experience in a position similar to this. Candidate must document, with portfolio at the interview, her or his previous work with map design and other prepress activity. Must be a self-starter and able to work without close supervision. Bring a clean sample of recent written work to the first interview. World's Finest Globes prides itself on the quality of its prose as well as its cartographic products. Cartographic internship experience will serve the candidate very nicely.
