Write maybe 5 pages on one of the following topics.
1. Evaluate the scientific arguments found in our readings that are supposed to show that there is a significant genetically-based difference between males and females with respect to behavior patterns such as being more socially attuned, more physically aggressive, less venturesome, and the like. Are these arguments strong? If not, do they show anything at all?
2. Assuming Wilson's hypotheses about the role of genetics in gender difference are all correct, what does that tell us about the best way for society to deal with gender roles? Connect Wilson's scientific claims with other reasonable premises to come up with recommendations for what would be the best thing for societies to do. Don't forget to take into account all of Wilson's scientific conclusions, and don't reject any of them. (In other words, this is not an essay in which you ignore Wilson's arguments and just go off arguing your own thing about what you want society to do. Instead, you have to take Wilson's claims into account in making your case.)
Follow the usual instructions. Print your essay, make it neat, give citations for quotes and paraphrases or reports of ideas you got from others.
