Always prepare for class--set aside time to do so, even
for the Monday classes.

Come to class and participate--even on Fridays!

Read carefully.  Don't just skim.  Work at it.  Interact with the text.

Listen to what other students have to say.  Participate in discussions in and outside of class about the subject matter.

If you don't understand, ask someone.  You're probably not alone.
If you do understand, help someone who doesn't.  Helping someone else helps you, too.

Be engaged, involved, active in course-related things.

Think.  Don't be a dull, boring, ditz.
