Notes:
1.   "Quand" + future  implies simultaneity between the verbs in the two clauses.  In French, these verbs are both in the future tense, whereas English uses two different tenses:
"Quand j'aurai un emploi, je serai marié."
"Quand I have a job, I will be married."

2. "Quand" + future anterior, implies that the action (the verb following "quand') precedes the action signified by the verb in the other clause: 
"Quand il aura reçu son diplôme, il cherchera un emploi":
"When he has graduated, he will look for a job."

3. "après que" can be used only with the future anterior:   "Après qu'il aura fini ses devoirs, il se couchera."

4. "pendant que" and "tandis que"can be used only with the simple future in both clauses:   "Je travaillerai tandis qu'elle regardera la télévision."

EXERCISES:

A.  COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES USING THE CORRECT TENSE.   WRITE ABOUT YOUR FUTURE

Example:  Nous les aiderons dès que ___________________.  
                  Nous les aiderons des que nous les aurons trouvé.

1.  Je satisferai tous mes désirs quand (future tense).

2.  Lorsque (future anterior tense), je mourrai.

3.  Pendant que mes enfants , nous travaillerons dur.

4.  Après que mes enfants , nous prendrons notre retraite.

B.  WRITE SIX SENTENCES ABOUT YOUR FUTURE LIFE AND CAREER:

a. Write FOUR SENTENCES WITH THE FUTUR after "quand," "aussitôt que," "après que," "lorsque," "tandis que" etc.
b.  Write TWO SENTENCES WITH THE FUTUR ANTERIOR following "quand," "aussitôt que," "après que," "lorsque," "tandis que" etc.

SUBSTITUTE THE FOLLOWING EXPRESSIONS FOR "QUAND" AT LEAST ONCE EACH:
"aussitôt que," "après que," "lorsque," "tandis que."

Example:  Après que j'aurai reçu mon diplôme, je chercherai un poste.
