FINAL GRADES

Final Grades will be calculated according to the following percentages.  

Critical Thinking Guides                                      10%
Library Assignments                                           5%
Short Paper (two drafts)                                      10%
Term Paper and Class Presentation                     20%
Class Participation                                              10%
Netforum                                                            10 %
Mid-Term Exam                                                 15%    
Final Exam                                                          20%

90%-100 = A
80%-90%= B
70%-80%=C
60%-70%=D
0-60%     =F

I reserve the right to increase a student's grade if he or she shows substantial progress over the course of the semester.  The final portfolio will be critical to this determination.

Note carefully the percentages that each of your professors give to each part of his or her course.  These give you an idea of what the professor values the most and where he or she believes you ought to concentrate your efforts.

You may ask me any time what your present grade is.  I will estimate the grade near the beginning of the semester.  My computer will calculate it precisely after about the middle of the semester.
