Québec city is in Québec province, a totally French speaking
province that was first
inhabited by the French in the sixteenth century. The city is located on
the Saint Laurence River,
downstream from Montréal, the largest city in Québec province and the second
largest in Canada.

The Québec airport is just west of the city on Route 40.

After you pass through customs at the Québec airport you will
have a 20 minute ride to the university.
In May, you will take a taxi from the airport to your family's residence
or to the Pavillon Parent on the Université Laval Campus.
In July, on Saturday or Sunday before classes, you will take a
University-sponsored bus from the airport to
to the Pavillon Parent, where you will meet your family or go to your
dorm.
There will be a reception committee at the Pavillon Parent to greet and help
you.
The University is on the Boulevard Laurier, Route 175, on the
lower left of the map below. It is about a 15 minute bus ride from Old
Québec on the Boulevard Laurier/Chemin St. Louis.
Old Québec is on the point of land to the northeast of the center of
Québec.

Vieux Québec is a lovely town with houses from the 17th century, many wonderful restaurants, concerts, and more.
