Minnesotans are unaware of how U.S. compares with other nations According to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, a Paris-based economic research group, most major western nations have lower child poverty and infant mortality rates than the U.S., and many have more generous welfare systems. But most Minnesotans did not know that: Only about one in eight said all three of the following statements were false - which is correct - while about a fifth said all were true.
