Homework 5. Summarizing the Data.

Due Date Wednesday, Sept 2, before class

For this assignment, copy an image of the table you created in Lab 4 to Word. 

•  Because we are going to copy the table as an image to Word, we have to get rid of the light blue cell borders.  There are two ways to do this:

  highlight the whole range of the table and change the "fill color" to white.

  highlight the whole range and change the borders to white. (use "more borders").

       Highlight the entire table and select Home | Paste | as picture | Copy as picture
[*] as shown on screen, and
[*] bitmap.

[note it one of the oddities of Excel 007 that in order to copy and image of
the cells (or charts), one must use the paste commands.]

[for those using the old version of Excel: select the range of cells and then:
Shift-Edit | Copy as picture
[*] as shown on screen, and
[*] bitmap.]

       Go to Word (keep Excel open) and paste the image.

Then write one or two paragraph summary of the data in the table.  Post the Word document as a reply to the message you posted on Webboard for HW4.
