Homework assignment 3: Child well being

A one-page single spaced essay summarizing how the United States compares with other rich nations on one of the first five dimensions of child well-being in this report.  [each student will be assigned a particular section]

Report: An overview of child well-being in rich countries

Notes: Each section contains rotated bar charts, but the actual data is contained in tables at the end of the report.  The key to doing this right to to demonstrate that you:

• understand how the dimensions are measured,
• accurately report the statistics,
• summarize the information concisely,
• present a meaningful and well supported conclusion.

Formating:
In general, for all your homework assignments, use single spacing with a blank line between paragraphs.

Citations:
Include a full citation to the report (or footnote\endnote) in the paper. Using MS\Word 2007 choose:

• References | Insert Footnote, or
• References | Insert Citation

Using footnotes, follow the endnote style in the JPDA book; using citation use the Word format: after you complete the citation information, click on References | Bibliography to include the references in the paper.
