HW7: Scatterplot for Term Paper topics.

read: JPDA, pp72-74

• To do the scatterplot, you need two variables, one independent and one dependent.
• The data should be Country, State or City data. 
• Some state data can be found by checking out the "state data section" of the index to the statistical abstract.
• For state AIDs, abortion (including abortion laws) and IMR checkout the state health facts page.
• Education: NAEP data explorer.   or check out the Digest of Education statistics (select table or figures, download excel file).
• Country level data: check out sourceOECD or Earth trends (hint: select region and all countries).

To add labels to your chart:

• save and close all excel files
• right click and download this file to your desktop
• go to your dektop and open the charttools file.
• then open your original Excel file

Construct the scatterplot, save the excel file to your website file for your term paper and write a short summary of the data and what the chart tells you.  Save the excel and link to that too..
