Homework 6: Scatterplot
Assignment: Duplicate the chart, below.
- Instructions:
- Use
these data.
- Construct the chart, use the J-Walk chart
tools to add the country labels.
Instructions: to create a scatterplot:
- Select two columns of data with the X-axis
variable (the independent variable) on the left:

- Then Insert | Scatter | with only
markers
- Click on the legend and delete
- Right-click on the markers, and choose add
trendline
- Click on the chart, select Chart
Tools | Layout | Axis titles and insert horizontal and vertical axis
titles.
- Format the chart

To add data labels (country codes)

- Go back to the file with your chart,
- Click on the chart,
- Choose Add-ins | J-walk Chart tools |

- Click on the data range box in the chart
tools and select the range of cells with the data labels.
- Click on the markers, Format the data
series so that there are no markers.
- Click on the data labels and format the
data labels so that they are centered.
