(variable: Racdif1). To extract these data: Use Internet Explorer, go to
the ICPSR\NORC
website, choose analyze. Select frequencies and
crosstabulations and select start. Specify
year as the row variable, racdif1 as the column
variable, and race as the control. Percentage by rows.
Copy the contents of the cells of one of control the tables. Paste
into Excel. Highlight the year columns and format the cells (Format
| Cells | Alignment, uncheck merge cells). Sort the
table on the year variable. This will align the years and
percentages in adjacent columns. Repeat for the other control
table. |
