11/15/02: Illinois State University Administrative Bloat

Discussion: AAAGH!  The data are from various Illinois State Fact Books; the Excel file is here. In 2002, state budget cuts resulted in 48 fewer faculty positions while 8 new administrative\professional positions were created. Note these include both full time and part time positions, the disparity would be much greater is only full time positions were reported. See letter to the editor here and Vidette commentary.
