Assistance for students wanting to improve their speaking, listening, or media literacy skills

The Speaking and Listening Assessment Project wants students to be successful in the speaking, listening, and media literacy situations that they encounter at school and in their future careers.

Need to give a speech? Our Speaking section will provide you with some examples, outlines, and hints for giving presentations such as impromptus, informatives, and persuasives.

Somebody tells you that you need to listen better? Our Listening section links you to a variety of listening activities that test and improve your listening skills.

We spend almost seven hours per day watching and listening to mass media. Our Media Literacy section provides some ideas to help you understand the effect and use of media in our society.
